Best 20000mAh Power Bank
Updated 5 November 2026
Every 20000mAh power bank holds roughly the same energy. What separates them is output wattage, and whether the cables you need are built in or you have to carry them.
A 20000mAh cell at the usual 3.7 volts is about 74Wh, which is why these banks are allowed in cabin baggage but not in checked luggage. Real usable output is lower than the printed capacity — expect three to four full phone charges, not five.
The seven picks were verified on Amazon India on the date shown. Charging speeds are the ports' rated output; your phone only takes the speed it supports.

EVM EnTurbo 20000mAh Power Bank
20000mAh · 22.5W · USB-A + Type-C output · micro-USB + Type-C input · 2-year warranty
Best for: A reliable spare that lives in a bag
- 22.5W fast charging at ₹999, with both USB-A and Type-C outputs.
- Dual input means it recharges from either an old micro-USB or a Type-C cable.
- Two-year warranty and a 4.1 rating at the lowest price in this guide.
Watch out: No cable is built in, so you must carry one. The 74Wh capacity is the same as every other bank here — nothing is compromised for the price except extras.
Approx. ₹999

pTron Dynamo Storm 20000mAh Power Bank
20000mAh · 22.5W · USB-A + Type-C ports · built-in Type-C and iOS cables · 4 outputs
Best for: Leaving the cable at home
- Built-in Type-C and iOS cables plus two ports — four devices can charge without a separate cable.
- 22.5W PD/QC output for fast charging on compatible phones.
- At ₹1,099 it is the cheapest bank here with cables attached.
Watch out: Built-in cables are the first thing to fail on any power bank. Treat them gently; a damaged cable can make the whole bank unusable.

URBN 35W 20000mAh Power Bank
20000mAh · 35W PD · triple output · Type-C input/output · pass-through charging
Best for: Fast-charging a mid-range phone without paying ₹2,000
- 35W output is a real step up from 22.5W for phones that accept 33W or more.
- Pass-through charging lets you charge the bank and a phone at the same time.
- Triple output with Type-C input and output.
Watch out: The listing is thin on detail — no port breakdown or warranty term is stated. Compare with the Xiaomi at ₹1,999 if you want a known brand.

boAt EnergyShroom PB401 20000mAh Power Bank
20000mAh · 22.5W two-way · 4 output ports · QC 3.0, PD and PPS · Type-C
Best for: Charging several devices at once
- Four output ports — the most here — so a phone, earbuds and a watch can share one bank.
- Two-way 22.5W charging with QC 3.0, PD and PPS support, which covers most Android fast-charge standards.
- Compact body for a 20000mAh bank, with a 4.1 rating.
Watch out: 22.5W is the ceiling. If your phone supports 33W or 45W, the Xiaomi or the 65W Portronics will charge it faster.

Ambrane MiniCharge 20 20000mAh Power Bank
20000mAh · 22.5W · built-in Type-C cable · Type-C PD + USB output
Best for: The smallest 20000mAh bank you can carry daily
- Marketed as a pocket-size 20000mAh bank, with the cable built in.
- The highest rating in this guide at 4.2.
- 22.5W PD output and a USB port alongside the built-in Type-C cable.
Watch out: Smaller body means less heat dissipation; it will get warm during a long 22.5W charge. That is normal, but do not charge it inside a bag.

Xiaomi Power Bank 4i 20000mAh 33W
20000mAh · 33W two-way PD · triple output · Type-C input and output · 12-layer protection
Best for: The best balance of speed, safety and brand support
- 33W two-way charging — both the bank and the phone charge quickly.
- 12-layer circuit protection and a brand with service centres across India.
- Triple output covers Android, iPhone, tablets and earbuds from one bank.
Watch out: No cable is built in, and 33W is only reached on phones that support PD or Xiaomi fast charging. Older phones will still charge at their own slower rate.
Approx. ₹1,999

Portronics Ignis 65 20000mAh Power Bank
20000mAh · 65W PD · built-in Type-C cable · Type-C PD in/out · LED display
Best for: Powering a USB-C laptop away from a plug
- 65W output is enough for most thin-and-light laptops, tablets and phones.
- A built-in Type-C cable and an LED display showing the remaining charge.
- Same price as the 33W Xiaomi, so laptop support costs nothing extra.
Watch out: At 65W the bank empties fast when charging a laptop — expect roughly one laptop top-up, not several. Check that your laptop charges over USB-C before buying.

22.5W, 33W or 65W: what the number changes
Wattage is the maximum the bank can deliver. The phone decides how much it accepts. A 22.5W bank charges a 5,000mAh phone in roughly 90–120 minutes; a 33W bank can bring that closer to 60–75 minutes on a phone that supports 33W.
65W is for laptops. Most thin-and-light laptops draw 45–65W over USB-C, so only a 65W bank can charge one at full speed. A 22.5W bank will either refuse to charge a laptop or charge it very slowly while switched off.
None of these banks support the 100W+ speeds of premium phones. If you own a flagship that charges at 80W, this category is a compromise — but for most phones under ₹30,000, 22.5W to 33W is all the phone will accept.
| Output | Typical use | Time for a 5,000mAh phone |
|---|---|---|
| 22.5W | Mid-range Android, iPhone | About 90–120 minutes |
| 33–35W | Phones that support PD 30W+ | About 60–75 minutes |
| 65W | USB-C laptops and tablets | Laptop top-up, phone very fast |
Capacity, Wh and why the airport cares
20000mAh at 3.7V is about 74 watt-hours, safely under the 100Wh cabin-baggage limit that most airlines use. All seven banks here fall in that range, so they can fly in hand luggage — never in checked bags.
Printed capacity is cell capacity, not usable output. Conversion losses mean a 20000mAh bank delivers roughly 13,000–14,000mAh to your phone, which is three to four charges of a 4,000–5,000mAh battery.
Charging speed and heat both reduce what you get out. Charging two devices at once, or using the bank in a hot car, wastes more energy as heat.
Built-in cables versus ports
A built-in cable saves you from carrying one, but it is also the weakest part: it cannot be replaced, and a broken cable can make an otherwise healthy bank useless. The pTron and Ambrane include cables; the Xiaomi and EVM do not.
Ports are more flexible. Two outputs let you charge a phone and earbuds together, and dual input (micro-USB plus Type-C) means you can recharge the bank with whatever cable is at hand.
Look for Type-C input and output on the same port — it is the simplest to live with in 2026. Micro-USB input is a fallback, not a feature worth paying for.
Questions we get asked
How many times will a 20000mAh power bank charge my phone?
About three to four times for a phone with a 4,000–5,000mAh battery. Conversion losses mean you never get the full 20000mAh at the phone end.
Can I take a 20000mAh power bank on a flight?
Yes, in cabin baggage. At roughly 74Wh it is under the 100Wh limit most airlines allow. It must not go in checked luggage.
Will a 65W power bank charge my laptop?
If your laptop charges over USB-C and accepts 45–65W, yes. Expect about one full top-up from a 20000mAh bank, and check the laptop's charger wattage before relying on it.
