Best Mattress Under ₹10000
Updated 5 November 2026
Under ₹10,000 a double mattress is foam, not springs. What differs is thickness, how many foam layers there are, whether it is flippable, and how long the maker is willing to guarantee it.
Thickness is not just comfort — it is weight support. Wakefit's own listing says two sleepers under 60 kg can use a 4-inch mattress, but if either sleeper is 60–80 kg, 6 inches is needed. A thin mattress under a heavy sleeper compresses and stops supporting the spine.
All seven were verified on Amazon India on the date shown. Sizes are the double 72×48 inch unless noted; check the exact size in the listing before ordering.

- Two mattresses in one — flip for soft or firm — at ₹4,889.
- High density foam rather than low-grade rebonded foam.
- Seven-year warranty, which is generous at this price.

Wakefit Dual Comfort Hard & Soft Foam Mattress
4 inch · 72×48 in · medium firm / medium soft sides · high resilience foam · 7-year warranty
Best for: A double bed where weight is under 60 kg per sleeper
- Wakefit spells out the weight guidance: 4 inches for sleepers under 60 kg, 6 inches if anyone is 60–80 kg.
- Reversible with a medium-firm grey side and a medium-soft white side.
- High resilience foam holds shape better than cheap bonded foam.
Watch out: If either sleeper is above 60 kg, buy the 6-inch version instead — the listing itself recommends it.

Springtek Dreamer 3-Layer Orthopedic Mattress
6 inch · 72×48 in · memory foam + resilient foam + support foam · medium firm · hypoallergenic cover
Best for: Back and side sleepers who need medium-firm support
- Three layers — memory foam on top, resilient foam in the middle, support foam below.
- Medium firm works for side, back and stomach sleepers.
- Motion isolation for couples and a breathable hypoallergenic cover.
Watch out: Memory foam can feel warm in summer. The cover is breathable, but a mattress protector will reduce airflow further.
Approx. ₹7,216

Springtek Bonded Foam 5-Layer Orthopedic Mattress
6 inch · 72×48 in · bonded foam + HR foam + memory gel · medium firm · anti-sag
Best for: People who prefer a hard gadda feel
- Five layers including bonded foam and HR foam — the firmest build here.
- High-density rebonded foam resists sagging, which matters for heavier sleepers.
- Memory gel layer adds pressure relief without the full memory-foam feel.
Watch out: Bonded foam is dense and firm; side sleepers used to plush mattresses may find it hard on the shoulder and hip.
Approx. ₹7,811

Nilkamal SLEEP Plus Memory Foam Mattress
6 inch · 72×48 in · memory foam + HR base · reversible · knitted breathable cover · 10-year warranty
Best for: The longest warranty and a recognisable brand
- Ten-year warranty, the joint-longest here.
- A high-density HR base that resists sagging under daily use.
- Breathable knitted cover and a reversible build.
Watch out: Bed-in-a-box: it needs 48–72 hours to expand fully after unrolling. Do not judge the firmness on the first night.
Approx. ₹8,810

Posture Sense Orthopedic Bonded Foam Mattress
6 inch · 75×48 in · flippable soft/firm · bonded foam · 5-year warranty
Best for: Couples who want two firmness options in one mattress
- The highest listing rating in this guide at 4.6.
- Flippable soft and firm sides, so both sleepers can compromise.
- High-density bonded foam with a breathable cover.
Watch out: It is 75×48 inches, not the usual 72×48. Measure the bed frame — 3 inches extra length will overhang a standard cot.
Approx. ₹8,913

SleepyCat Original Ortho Mattress
6 inch · 72×48 in · AirGen memory foam · medium firm · anti-bacterial cover · 10-year warranty

- AirGen memory foam is designed for airflow, addressing the usual memory-foam heat problem.
- Balanced medium-firm feel for back, side and combination sleepers.
- Ten-year warranty and an anti-bacterial fabric cover.
Watch out: No flippable firm side — you get one feel. If you are unsure between soft and firm, the reversible mattresses above are safer.

4-inch or 6-inch: the weight rule
Thickness is about support, not luxury. A 4-inch foam mattress has less material to distribute weight, so it compresses faster under heavier sleepers and loses support in the middle first.
Wakefit states the rule plainly: 6 inches if both sleepers are under 80 kg and one is 60–80 kg; 4 inches if both are under 60 kg. For a guest bed or a child's bed, 4 inches is fine. For a couple's main bed, 6 inches is the safer buy.
Above 6 inches you are paying for extra comfort layers rather than more support, and under ₹10,000 six inches is the practical maximum.
| Sleepers | Thickness | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Both under 60 kg | 4 inch | Enough support, cheaper |
| One sleeper 60–80 kg | 6 inch | Avoids compression and sagging |
| Guest bed or child | 4 inch | Light use, occasional |
Memory foam, HR foam or bonded foam
Memory foam softens with body heat and contours to the body, which relieves pressure at shoulders and hips. It also sleeps warmer and can feel slow to move on.
HR (high resilience) foam is springier and cooler. It is usually the support layer under memory foam and holds its shape longer than cheaper foam.
Bonded or rebonded foam is dense and firm — the traditional hard gadda feel. It is durable and cheap but offers little pressure relief, which is why the firm picks here combine it with a memory gel layer.
Warranty, expansion and care
A 7-year warranty is standard at this price; 10 years appears on Nilkamal and SleepyCat. Warranty covers manufacturing defects and sagging beyond a stated limit, not normal softening.
Roll-packed mattresses need 48–72 hours to reach full thickness after unrolling. Use them on a flat base, not on a slatted cot with wide gaps, and rotate head-to-foot every few months.
A waterproof protector keeps sweat and spills out of the foam and is the single thing that most extends mattress life. Foam cannot be washed, only aired.
Questions we get asked
Is a 4-inch mattress enough for a couple?
Only if both sleepers are under about 60 kg. Above that, a 4-inch mattress compresses and loses support — Wakefit's own listing recommends 6 inches for 60–80 kg sleepers.
Do memory foam mattresses sleep hot?
They can, because foam traps heat. Gel-infused and air-flow foams reduce this, and a breathable cover helps. If you sleep hot, an HR-foam or bonded-foam mattress is cooler.
How long does a mattress under ₹10,000 last?
Typically seven to eight years with a protector and regular rotation. The warranty is a defect guarantee, not a promise that the foam will feel the same after five years.
